The paths of Jake Dennis and BMW M Motorsport meet again and for 2024 a relationship that was interrupted at the end of last season will restart.
The reigning Formula E champion has reached a new agreement with the Bavarian company to board the M4 GT3 in some races, thus becoming the 23rd on the list of German standard-bearers of which he had been part since 2021.
After taking the wheel of the M4 again for the GT World Challenge Europe race at Paul Ricard, defending the colors of the Century Motorsport team, the Briton will have a new opportunity to appear in the Endurance Cup with the same team in the second half of season.
Unfortunately he will not be able to be present at the 24h of Spa-Francorchamps due to his commitment with Andretti in Formula E, but already on the weekend of 1-2 June he will be able to race together with Jens Klingmann in the Italian GT with BMW Italia Ceccato Racing, given that owner Max Hesse will have to fly to the Nordschleife for the 24h of the Nürburgring.
“I am very excited to continue my journey as an official BMW driver – says Dennis – We have had a great collaboration since 2021”.
“I’m looking forward to the races ahead of us this season. I hope we can fight for wins and podiums.”
Andreas Roos, Head of BMW M Motorsport, adds: “I am very happy to have Jake back among our factory drivers. He is a great, versatile driver, exactly what we need for our extensive racing programme.”
“With GT cars he is always a first-class option and, as Formula E World Champion, he has gained great experience in other areas of motorsport too.”
