The three-game remastering of Grand Theft Auto was released last week, but it was pulled from the Rockstar launcher.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition went on sale in digital format last Thursday, November 11, and the truth is that, for better or for worse, it has not left anyone indifferent. On its first day, a crash in the Rockstar launcher prevented PC gamers from playing it, but when the problem was fixed, GTA The Trilogy was also not available.
The error affecting the launcher services has now been resolved, leaving the platform disabled for maintenance for hours. However, the company was unable to re-title it because they had to delete some data files that were inadvertently included, which prevented the execution or purchase of these new versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas.
Fortunately, the collection is available again, as announced by Rockstar itself through its official channels. The company, in addition to ensuring that they continue working to solve errors in the game, has taken the opportunity to apologize publicly for the inconvenience caused.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working to improve performance.Rockstar“Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is once again available via the Rockstar Games launcher for play and purchase. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and are working to improve and update overall performance,” reads the tweet from the official company support account.
This remastered trilogy is finally available on PC, and also on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch consoles. The reissue has suffered criticism during the first days, some of them based on the graphical comparison, whose improvement they consider insufficient, and others referring to errors and changes with respect to the original titles, such as the disappearance of tricks.
