As promised, there will be two Maseratis that LP Racing will bring to the starting grid of the GT2 European Series for the 2024 season.
Team principal Luca Pirri had already announced it at the end of last year, when he debuted the first Trident car at Paul Ricard, taking it to the podium together with Leonardo Gorini: for the new adventure there would be two cars, the Tuscan said at the time.
After the confirmation of Gorini together with the newly arrived Carlo Tamburini at the wheel of the Maserati #1, here also arrives the #2 of Philippe Prette, entered in the AM Class.
Prette will be making his debut in the series after spending several years in the Ferrari Challenge and also competing in the GT World Challenge Europe with the Garage 59 McLaren.

“I'm very happy to be part of this team and to have a new experience with Maserati – says the Frenchman – I tested the car and it's fantastic, and I'm happy to race with the team that won the GT2 championship in a series that at the moment It's in excellent condition.”
Pirri added: “Philippe is a well-known Ferrari Challenge winner and we believe he is now ready to compete in the fastest GT championship for non-professional drivers. We are confident he will be a man to watch for the AM title next season.” .
With the two Maseratis from LP Racing, there will therefore be a total of four cars from the Modena-based company, which will also be represented by Van Der Horst Motorsport and TFT Racing.
