Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA) stated on Thursday, 2, that it had concluded a transaction for the sale of the properties that make up its administrative headquarters located on Avenida Brigadeiro Luis Antônio, in the capital of São Paulo.
The agreed amount totaled R$218 million, 82% of which was received in 2024, and 18% in installments until March 2026.
According to the company, the transaction is part of the “plan to reduce the company’s financial leverage, starting in 2023, contributing to the reduction of net debt and strengthening its capital structure”.
The agreement includes a Sale and Leaseback operation (sale followed by rental of the property), represented only by the administrative tower that makes up the properties, totaling R$109 million, where the company’s administrative headquarters will remain through a long-term lease agreement. initial period of 15 years and a cap rate of approximately 9%.
It also includes the signing of a Private Purchase and Sale Commitment Instrument in which GPA committed to definitively selling part of the area attached to the administrative tower, for a total value of R$109 million.
The company did not disclose the name of the buyer in the statement.
