Escribano Mechanical & Engineering plans to undertake investments worth 15 million of euros and increase its workforce in the next three or four years in order to reach 300 workers in Binéfar (Huesca).
This increase in staff would occur after the 35 people who have joined since last April. Currently, in this Aunav plant in Binéfar, which was incorporated into the Escribano Group, they work 107 employees. In total, the company has around 1,200 workers between the work centers located in Alcalá de Henares, Córdoba, Brussels, Puerto de Santa María and this plant in Huesca.
Escribano Mechanical & Engineering is specialized in the design, development and manufacturing of complex Defense and Security. An activity within which the robotic technology applied to police and military operations.
Robotic systems thus emerge from its facilities to protect the safety of operators in the deactivation of explosives or in CBRN risk missions, that is, nuclear, radiological, biological or chemical.
And the outlook is positive. “We export to about 20 countries,” said Javier Escribano, CEO of Escribano Mechanical & Engineering, who stressed that the company is “dedicated to the increase in capabilitiesincreasing the workforce, buying land, and with the intention of expand the product family produced in the plant” in which the company relies on its own design to have the intellectual property of the products.
The company’s plans and activity have been made known during the visit to its facilities by the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, who has positively valued the generation of “quality” employment and the impact on the local economy of this company.
“Escribano has the ambition to become the sector leader in the manufacturing of robots in the Defense sector. It is investing in the territory, in Binéfar, to become one of the largest production centers in Spain”, within this sector in which significant growth is expected as a result of the geopolitical context, he added.
