Early this Tuesday morning, in the Lomas de la Aldea neighborhood in Morelia a was recorded fire that devoured a home and resulted in seven victims; an elderly adult and six children.

The event occurred on the corner of Níquel and Matemáticos streets, where police sources reported that the exact causes of the incident are still unknown, although neighbors reported an explosion possibly caused by the accumulation of gas.

The aid forces found the lifeless bodies of the seven victims, among them six minors between 6 and 13 years of age, identified by neighbors as Santiago, Ricardo, Tadeo, Pablo, Ángel and Roberto.

The deceased adult was her grandmotherwho took care of the children after the tragic murder of their mother a few months ago.

The Immediate Attention staff of the State Attorney General’s Office carried out the corresponding procedures and transferred the bodies to the Forensic Medical Service.
