Silverstone, a day of historic liveries
To honor the 75th anniversary of the World Championship, the MotoGP teams will take to the track this weekend with 11 special liveries. It could only be done at Silverstone, the temple of motorsport, with the aim of marrying the tradition of the past and the emotions of the present.
Among the most anticipated liveries there was naturally that of Ducatiwhich in the British GP comes as a point of reference since Francesco Bagnaia completed the overtaking operation on Jorge Martin at the Sachsenring. The livery chosen by the Borgo Panigale company is naturally red and white and is inspired by the GP3the Desmosedici of Loris Capirossi and Troy Bayliss that marked Ducati’s debut in the MotoGP class. It was 2003: six races were enough to bring it to a race success (the only one that season); thanks to #65, who triumphed in Catalunya.

Pramac and Gresini liveries
Like all the other teams, Pramac and Gresini have also revealed their “vintage” liveries. Pramac will honor the bike of Angel Nieto (uncle of sports director Fonsi Nieto and winner of the 125 in 1983), Gresini naturally remembers the two-wheeler with which the founder Fausto won the 125 titles in 1985 and 1987. VR46 will instead race in honor of Valentino Rossi.
