Montreal, Bottas and Zhou start from the pit lane
Le Kick Sauber by Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou they will start the Canadian Grand Prix from the pit lane. The FIA announced this a few minutes ago after receiving the report from the technical delegate Jo Bauer, which indicated the replacement of the rear wing of the two C44s with a different specification from the original one under the Parc Fermé regime.
The statement
This is the press release with which the FIA announced the definitive starting grid for the Grand Prix which will begin at 8pm.
The control unit and the energy store have also been replaced on Bottas’ car: he should have received a penalty on the grid, but naturally he is already serving a bigger “punishment” starting from the pit lane.
Thanks to this choice by Kick Sauber, Nico Hülkenberg (by one position) and Esteban Ocon (by two places) advance in the lineup. The two will occupy the ninth row, starting from the 17th and 18th pitch respectively.
