How will it work?
Taxpayers who are in the process of renegotiating their debts will have their installments suspended for 90 days. In this way, those installments due in April, May and June now have new dates: July, August and September, respectively.
The measure is for individuals or legal entities with tax domicile in 336 municipalities in the state, including Porto Alegre, except individual microentrepreneurs, microenterprises and small businesses opting for Simples Nacional.
Administrative charge
Some administrative collection measures are suspended for 90 days, such as presentation of protest of Union Active Debt certificates, pre-execution endorsement and establishment of new PARR (Administrative Procedures for Recognition of Responsibility).
The deadline also applies to procedures for excluding taxpayers from negotiations managed by the PGFN due to non-payment of installments.
Interest-free
According to the ordinance, the extension does not include interest and only covers installments that are about to expire, as of the date of its publication.
