And with this in mind, Google is looking to get rid of the tools, all so that people can’t skip them, and that will be possible with Manifest V3extensions format that will remove support for some of these locks.
It has been mentioned in some portals that Google is planning to launch this format very soon, and in fact it had already launched the proposal since 2019, but people have been against it for removing many compatibilities so it did not proceed in any way. However, that has not prevented the large global company from advancing the project, and this week the beta will be gradually arriving in various sections of the world.
As mentioned, the version arrives with the objective of improving the security, privacy, performance and reliability of the extensions ecosystem. Many do not agree with the description of Googlesuch as the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), which called Manifest V3 misleading and threatening when it was first announced in 2019, saying that it will restrict the capabilities of web extensions, especially those that are designed to monitor, modify and calculate along with the conversation your browser has with the websites you visit.
It is also indicated that more than 85% of the extensions actively maintained in Chrome Web Store run Manifest V3, and all major content filtering extensions have versions of Manifest V3 available, Google does not mention that the Manifest V3 version of the most popular ad blocker is uBlock Origin Lite, and Lite indicates that it is lower than the Manifest V2 version.

Author’s note: I don’t know how people are going to take it when they no longer let them use the ad blocker, sometimes they don’t put them on because they want to harm the pages, but because these commercials encourage the PC to function.
