Mexico.- Google has announced the development of a new feature that will allow users lock your lost cell phones or stolen remotely using only the phone number, without the need to be connected to the affected device’s network or logging in.
This measure has the main objective of protecting user data in the event of theft or loss of the device.
It is important to note that to activate this feature, users will be able to access the web page “android.com/lock” from any smartphone or tablet. Google has detailed that this new tool seeks to offer an additional layer of security and peace of mind to users, allowing them to lock the screen of their device quickly and effectively.
Although this feature is still under development and is not currently available, its implementation is expected to become a reality soon. According to information provided by Assemble Debug, the functionality of Remote lock will be available for devices running Android 10 or higher versions, through a future Google Play Services update.
This initiative of Google underlines its commitment to the security and privacy of its users, providing tools that allow them to protect their personal information in adverse situations such as the loss or theft of their cell phone.
