Mérida.- The night of this Monday, March 14, transcended the death of the politician Francisco Solís Peón, better known as “Pancho Cachondo”who stood out mainly for controversial proposals, actions of the same nature and an unusual charisma.
The cause of death has not yet been released, although it is public knowledge that he was hospitalized in a private medical center in Mérida, Yucatánpossibly due to consequences of Covid-19.
One of the moments that led to “Horny Pancho” to be national news was when he made proposals on prostitution and those who were dedicated to it, his taste for nightclubs earned him the nickname of “deputy”.

In 2002 his time in the National Action Party (PAN) ended, as he was expelled after being exposed to controversy. One of his most remembered was his appearance in “Cambio”, a magazine where he posed nude with a blue and white logo covering his genitals.
In his professional career he managed to be a local deputy of the then Legislative Assembly of the Federal District. His most recent participation in elections was in 2018, when he ran for the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRD) for district VII of Mérida, Yucatán.
As part of his strategy, Solís Peón offered his press conferences in bars in the Historic Center of the city, where he reported on campaign proposals and attended the media.
