The doors of the “Blue House” of Puntas de Calnegre, which breathes the personality of Margarita Lozano on all four sides and in which she spent a sweet retirement of more than 20 years, were closed this Tuesday for the actress. Her coffin came out of her amid tears of family and friends who spent the last hours in her burning chapel accompanying her and surrounding her with her love, the same love she professed for them. The former director of the Regional Film Library, Joaquín Cánovas, told LA TRUTH that “I am excited to enter this house, which she loved so much, and which she filled with her laughter.”

“He would have liked to say goodbye to his patio, he liked to see the lavender,” said Encarna, his caregiver for the last 22 years, between continuous efforts to hold back tears.

The film producer Ana Amigo affectionately called her “the sultana de Puntas” because she only had to call so that everyone would come instantly to attend to her and accompany her, and she did so until the last moment. “I arrived on Sunday to say goodbye to her” long, warm and deep “. Despite the age difference, she was “friend, mother, colleague, my family” and she treasures memories of “movies, festivals, countries, life, laughter, rehearsals…”.

The funeral, with some authorities such as the mayor, Diego José Mateos, and the Councilor for Culture, Ángeles Mazuecos, was held in the simple chapel of the town of Puntas de Calnegre, which was attended by his son, Francisco Magno Lozano, fifty relatives, friends and neighbors, who admired the actress and who were part of the narrow social circle in which she took refuge in recent years. Despite her enigmatic character and her apparent coldness, she was endearing and close. “We made her ‘Ramonetera of the year’ at the patron saint festivities and she accepted with delight,” recalled Francisco Sánchez, one of her neighbors.

“It was a charm,” added María del Mar Font, another of the neighbors. “She gave me a coat when I went on a trip to Sweden so I wouldn’t be cold, I have many memories of her.”

Margarita Lozano was very lucky because she was a woman who was respected, admired, loved and cared for until the last moment by her friends. Some will be until death, such as Mercedes Bosque and Alfonso Urrea, who bought the tomb to the right of which, since Tuesday, houses their mortal remains.

This will not be the last farewell for the actress because her son Paco is organizing a meeting with family and friends that will be held in a few weeks in the blue house where they shared so many happy moments. “We will exchange memories of her and celebrate her,” said Simón Ángel Ros.
