The golf legend says he is preparing for a “new chapter”.
American golf legend Tiger Woods and sports equipment manufacturer Nike's almost 30-year cooperation agreement has ended.
Woods, 48, shared the news on social media on Monday and attached a photo of his mother to his post Kutilda Woods and the founder of Nike by Phil Knight with.
Woods started working with Nike in 1996, when the golfer was only 20 years old. According to estimates, the cooperation agreement has earned Woods about 500 million dollars.
“Over 27 years ago, I was lucky enough to start working with one of the world's most iconic brands,” Woods wrote.

The sports equipment giant also commented on the end of the collaboration on social media on Monday.
“Tiger, you challenged your competitors, the stereotypes, the common ways, the old school way of thinking. You challenged the entire golf establishment. You challenged us. And most of all, yourself. And for that challenge we are grateful,” Nike's Instagram post described.
CNN's according to the speculations about Woods' future cooperation patterns started immediately. According to CNN, among other things, the Swiss sports shoe manufacturer On Running said on Monday that Woods is not signing a contract with the company.
Woods is not the only superstar of his sport with whom Nike has had a long-term cooperation agreement. The sports giant, for example, still sells products the size of basketball Michael Jordan's name, even though the American ended his playing career more than 20 years ago.
