Gesualdo (Fism): “In pandemic, anesthetists and resuscitators central to the NHS”

“During the pandemic, I had the opportunity to learn a lot from anesthesiologists-resuscitators, who played a leading role. For this reason, I take the opportunity of Siaarti’s 90th anniversary to remember and praise the commitment of anesthesiologists over all these years, especially during the Sars-CoV-2 health emergency, thanks to which the NHS has made great strides forward. Siaarti’s long history has seen many successes, but other goals and other challenges await the scientific society of anesthesiologists-resuscitators who are at the side of Italians who suffer and need help every day”. This was stated by the president of the Federation of Italian Medical-Scientific Societies, Loreto Gesualdo, speaking at the celebrations – today in the Refectory Hall of the Chamber of Deputies – of the 90th anniversary of its foundation, which took place in Rome on 24 September 1934.
