In the German city of Hanover on Monday, January 8, there are protests by farmers – to attract attention, farmers brought tractors to the streets of the city. Footage of what was happening was at the disposal of Izvestia.

“Regional food products should also remain affordable for people with average incomes,” the slogans say.
On January 8, German farmers went on strike throughout Germany to protest against the German government's subsidy cuts. Participants told Izvestia that the current agricultural policy of the German government actually prevents farmers from engaging in production. According to one of the protesters, German agricultural producers are forced to adapt to legislation, the import of foreign products that are produced with violations, and world prices.
Also on January 8, an Izvestia correspondent showed footage from Germany, where hundreds of tractors blocked roads. Posters with the slogans “There is no future without farmers”, “We are not striving to receive 20 salaries more, we are fighting for our existence” were attached to the equipment. We are for German agriculture” and “Carry on! Otherwise, we will soon be swallowed up by bankruptcy.”
At the same time, during a protest in Oldenburg, Germany, a driver hit a farmer while detouring the strike.
In addition, on January 1, the head of the French People's Republican Union party, Francois Asselineau, said that German farmers are increasingly going on open strikes due to Ukraine's interference in the country's agriculture and markets.
