Last year we had our first trailer for House of the Dragon, one of the many spin-off series of Game of Thrones. It’s still too early to tell how good or bad it might be, though. George R.R. Martincreator of this franchise, has already had the opportunity to see some episodes and according to him, the project is developing quite well.
As part of your personal blog, Martin shared the following:
“I have exciting news for you from London — I am informed that the filming process for the first season of House of Dragon is now complete. Yes, all ten episodes. I’ve seen a few, and loved them. Sure, there are many things to do. Special effects, color temperature, music, all post production work. But the script, the direction, the acting, all of that looked impeccable. I hope they like it as much as I do. My respects to Ryan and Miguel and their teams, and to our incredible cast.”
House of the Dragon is a prequel set hundreds of years before the events of game of Thrones and will tell us about the origins of the House Targaryens. We still don’t know when this next project will be released, but if all goes well, we should see it sometime this year exclusively on HBOMax.
Publisher’s note: Considering what happened with Game of Thrones, HBO has to be very careful with how they handle this new project. Fans of this franchise are still left with a sour taste in their mouths after the end of the main series, so House of the Dragon will hopefully help cheer them up a bit.
