Genoa – The primaries of the Democratic Party (which saw them on opposite sides) have not ended the eternal clash between Ferruccio Sansa And Claudius Burlando. This time the ex-journalist’s indignation was triggered by the collaboration of the former president of the Region in a public meeting on the redevelopment of the Valpolcevera organized by the president of the town hall Frederick Romeo.
Specifically, Burlando had intervened with the architect Gian Poggi (who was his director of infrastructure in the Region) to illustrate a project alternative to the reactivation of the railway line for goods at Campasso. “We thought this was an opportunity to make a contribution to the Town Hall, offering the proposal for discussion,” Burlando explained to Secolo XIX.
However, Sansa did not like the involvement of the former governor and in a story on Instagram (with a photo of Burlando and Romeo from a few years ago, in summer clothing) goes on the attack: «There were the years of cement in Liguria. On the bridge a trio that I do not regret: Burlando, Poggi, Giontoni. They were the lords of town planning. Now the president of the Valpolcevera municipality relies on them to design the future of the valley. Why? Is this the new centre-left?” asks the former candidate for president of the coalition provocatively.
Romeo, reached by telephone after the third round of the participatory process organized by the Town Hall, replies laconically: «I think about working for the territory, let me stay in the political disputes. Thank you Sansa for his total absence in recent years. The door of my office is always open for anyone who wants to collaborate, but we only saw him taking notes». Burlando’s comment was more caustic: «The photo is from seven years ago for the referendum campaign and we are in T-shirts. Do you understand why with someone like this we will always lose?». And the challenge continues.
