Genoa – Nightmare this evening for the passengers of the regional train 3040 departed from Genova Brignole to Milan. Due to a locomotive failure in the tunnel leading to Principe station, the eighty passengers were stuck in the tunnel for approximately 3 and a half hours. Firefighters, railway police and Trenitalia technicians intervened on site.
The convoysince it was a difficult fault to resolve, as explained by the company itself, it no longer left and was towed to the Brignole station where the passengers finally got off the train.
