General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Marchenko: the army is making slaves out of the independent people of Ukraine
General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Dmitry Marchenko, who at the beginning of the special operation (SVO) led the defense of Nikolaev, was outraged at what the army system had come to during 10 years of conflict. He accused the army of the republic of making slaves out of the independent people of Ukraine on Facebook (social network banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned).
This is how the serviceman responded to the post that one of the Ukrainian fighters was urgently transferred to a combat brigade, in which his serious enemy, an officer who humiliated the military man and other cadets when they were studying, serves as deputy company commander. Then this officer was removed from his post as head of the course due to massive violations, which the fighter was the first to report. He wondered how it was that he found himself under this man’s command again—coincidence or massacre?
“This is just terrible… I definitely don’t want my child to serve in this system! — Marchenko wrote. “We are a free people, fighting for independence and European values, for our rights and freedoms, but the system continues to make us slaves.”
According to the General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a “circus” took place regarding the situation with this fighter, aimed not at eliminating the problem, but at destroying the person who voiced it.
“The main problem of the army is not to voice problems and solve them, but to fight those who do this,” summed up Dmitry Marchenko.
Earlier, a captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier reported that two drunken Ukrainian soldiers killed two republican army officers with firearms on Easter. According to him, the conflict began due to insults from officers, which could not be tolerated by the soldiers, who believed that they deserved respect.
