FUTAGASHIRA vol.2
The series by acclaimed mangaka Natsume Ono is back in the bookstore, set in ancient Japan of the Edo period, which combines revenge, action, friendship and feelings. After abandoning their gang of thieves, it’s time for Benzō and Sōji to reclaim their destiny and set out together to achieve something great. Escaping the past, however, is not as simple as it seems.
Nothing will stop them from accomplishing a great feat!
BAO Publishing is pleased to announce a new title of the Aiken line, the manga of BAO: the second volume of Futagashira from Natsume Ono.
In the Edo period, suspended between history and myth, two thieves decide to leave the ruthless gang where they feel they no longer belong: that of Benzō and Sōji is a story of friendship and redemption, full of twists. After the success of the first volume, the daring events of the most unlikely outlaws of ancient Japan encounter an unexpected detour: while they are headed to Osaka, they accept an important mission of honor that takes them back to Edo. Will it be time to start a gang of their own?
The fate of this duo is far from clear, and there will still be many adventures before they accomplish the great feat they dream of. Natsume Ono – author increasingly known and loved also in Italy – combines the best of contemporary manga with accurate historical settings in this unique work, which will be complete in seven volumes.
Futagashira vol. 2 is available in bookstores and comics from 13 January 2022
