Fuad Char revealed what would be Junior’s first two reinforcements for the following season

The league ended for Junior from Barranquilla after being eliminated on the last date, but the Libertadores, the Betplay Cup and the second semester already shows the managers’ plans for what is to come.

Fuad Char, shareholder of the club, gave statements to El Heraldo, a local newspaper, in which he referred to the plans the club has for the next stage. Among them, he mentioned two ‘signings’ that the ‘shark’ team has in its sights.

Although there is no closed incorporation, there are two players who especially draw Char’s attention and with whom, he admitted, negotiations are already underway with Andrés Colorado, from Necaxa of Mexico; and Yairo MorenoIndependiente Medellín player.

“We are talking with these two players. We are interested in them,” declared the leader of the Barranquilla team. The negotiations would be well advanced so that they arrive as reinforcements for the second half of 2024.

Who are they?

Andrew Colorado He is a 25-year-old midfielder who is currently part of the Necaxa club in the Mexican league, which he joined after playing for Inter Palmira in 2023. In Mexico, Colorado has had a presence in 18 games in the last two seasons.

The Valle del Cauca was also part of the Deportivo Cali champion in 2021, from there he went to Sao Paulo where he did not add many minutes. He would contribute in the middle of the field and create chances to enhance the scoring ability of Carlos Bacca.

On the other hand there is Yairo Moreno, a 29-year-old full-back for Independiente Medellín and a versatile player who would give the Barranquilla team many alternatives. He has just finished his time in Medellín after playing in Mexican soccer with León and Pachuca.

In the current season, he made 13 appearances between the League and the Copa Sudamericana with the ‘red of the mountain’. He would reinforce the team’s left wing.

There is no confirmed pass yet, but it is expected that reinforcements for the following season will arrive soon. Furthermore, the shark team has been involved in rumors that hint at conversations with Juan Guillermo Cuadrado.

This, after statements by Carlos Bacca who said that the winger was “open to the possibilities” in the ‘Habla Deportes’ program.
