From “Oraculus” internet portalin the sum of surveys of the “Presidential election 2024”, report nine surveys of electoral preferences in the month of April published with gross preference. In nine studies conducted and published in April of this year, the average voting trends are as follows: candidate of Morena, PT and PVEM, Claudia Sheinbaum, has 50.6%; the candidate of PAN, PRI and PRD, Xóchitl Gálvez, has 30.2%; he MC candidate, Jorge Álvarez Máynez has 7%; and, the sum and average in the nine surveys of undecided and non-response is 12.2%. (Source: https://oraculus.mx/presidente2024/). As can be seen, candidate Sheinbaum closed the month of April, according to the average of those nine surveys reported by Oraculus, with an advantage of 20.3 percentage points.
Decline of presidential candidate
This scenario of electoral preferences broadly favorable to candidate Sheinbaum explains the PRI’s proposal to ask the MC candidate to decline for the candidate Galvez. At the end of last April national leader of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, on Radio Formula and on his social network account “X” he published: “For the love of Mexico @AlvarezMaynez must decline for @XochitlGalvez, to form a solid opposition bloc at this time when there is no democratic normality.” (Alejandro Moreno, account “X”, April 29/2024).
To that proposal, the MC presidential candidate, Álvarez Máynez, responded the same day, on his social network account “X”, with a condition: “My response to @alitomorenoc and @MarkoCortes: 1. If the greater good is to defeat Morena, the only option that can do so today is ours. You buried PRIAN. 2. If they want to decline for me, I could accept as long as they renounce being leaders and their pluris.” (Jorge Álvarez Máynez, account “X”, April 29/2024). The next day, the MC presidential candidate delved into his proposal by publishing on his “X” account: “I sense a slight desperation from the PRI-PAN alliance. Have they already been informed that they are going to come in third place? I repeat: if the important thing is that you don’t win Brunette, your decline is welcomed with one condition. Let Alito and Marko resign. And also to its multiples.” (Jorge Álvarez Máynez, account “X”, April 30, 2024).
A few days later, the president of the PRI accepted the proposal of the MX presidential candidate. EL DEBATE published last Thursday the PRI’s proposal: “The national leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), Alejandro “Alito” Moreno, declared that, if Citizen movement truly wants Mexico, he must decline Xochitl Galvez, candidate of the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition, for which he said he was willing to renounce his candidacy for multi-member council, as Jorge Álvarez Máynez has requested. “Of course I would do it and there would be no problem (…) We are even going to dialogue, we are going to propose and work, to make a joint proposal, I believe that Mexico deserves that we all do our part,” said Moreno Cárdenas in interview with Carlos Loret de Mola in Latinus” (EL DEBATE, May 9/2024).
This exchange of publications demonstrates that the double-digit distance in favor of the presidential candidate Claudia Sheinbaum is well analyzed by the party leaders of the PAN, PRI, PRD coalition. And, the weight that the third presidential candidate will have. To continue analyzing.
Paragraphs: From the third presidential debate
The third and last debate of the presidential election, between the candidates and the candidate, will be next Sunday, May 19. In exactly one week. Then there will be two more weeks and the presidential elections will come on Sunday, June 2. And that day, beyond surveys and percentages, the majority of the votes of Mexican men and women will be what defines who will be the first and next President of the Mexican Republic. That’s how it is in democracy and Mexico is a democratic regime.
