Frayles falls to Ángeles and has its fourth defeat in a row

GUASAVE, SINALOA.- The 45 points they scored in the penultimate quarter were not enough for Frayles de Guasave to win, as they ended up falling 105-102 against Ángeles de la Ciudad de México, at the start of the third series of the second round of the 2024 season of the Chevron Cibacopa League.
Those in the cassock with that disaster reached four defeats in a row and left their record at 1-4 in wins and losses in this round, while the capital's team remained at 2-3.

The history
For the first of the series, Lucas Zurita repeated his starting quintet, made up of David Sloan, Ty Prince, Michael Henry, Mario Kegler and Torren Jones.
For his part, Gustavo Quintero, strategist of the capital, sent Will Yoakum, Vander Blue, Johnny Hughes, Nana Opoku and Daquan Bracey to the floor of the Luis Estrada Medina gym.

For the first quarter, both teams had a slow start, but in the final stretch, Ángeles took over the court and came out ahead with a score of 29-20.
Here for the locals, Michael Henry and Torren Jones stood out, who were in charge of scoring seven and six points, respectively. While Will Yoakum stood out for the visitors with six points, while Vander Blue, Daquan Bracey and Dwayne Morgan finished with five points apiece.

David Sloan had a seven-point quarter, while Johnny Hughes stood up for Angels with nine points and Daquan Bracey followed him with eight more.

For the penultimate period, the team in the cassock arrived with new vigor from the hand of Ty Prince and Michael Henry, who took over the court and won 45-27.
Henry and Prince were responsible for contributing 15 and 14 points each. As far as the capitalians are concerned, Johnny Hughes was dispatched with eight units.

Already in the last period the home team fell again with scores of 25-19and with that Ángeles won the victory with a score of 105-102.

Frayles and Ángeles will meet again this Tuesday at the Luis Estrada Medina gym, starting at 8:15 p.m., in what will be the second of the series.

For the Frayles, Michael Henry stood out on the court, who had a night of 25 points, followed in his footsteps by David Sloan and Ty Prince with 23 and 20 points, respectively.
Regarding the Angels, Johnny Hughes and Daquan Bracey stood out, both with 21 “lines”.
