Juarez City.- Francisco Llera was the only candidate for rector who attended the forum for presenting proposals convened by the Academic Staff Union of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB) of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). The other three candidates were unable to attend due to agenda commitments.
The event was aimed at all full-time and honorary teachers at the institute.
During his speech, Llera stressed his intention to be a resource manager for the university.
He highlighted the importance of promoting the institution, including its processes, patents, research and services.
He outlined his vision for the UACJ for the period 2024-2030, based on four guiding principles: outreach, research and teaching, student life and management.
These elements, he explained, will constitute the core of his management if he is elected by the university councillors in the election to be held on 9 August.
