Yesterday, France announced the provision of medical aid to Lebanon to meet its emergency and general medicine needs. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, that through its Crisis and Support Center, approximately two tons of medicines were transferred to Lebanon to meet its general needs, especially the pharmaceutical needs of children. France confirmed that it will deliver this medical aid through its embassy in Beirut to Lebanese non-governmental organizations.
The French Foreign Ministry statement added that “in the face of the institutional, economic and security crisis that Lebanon is going through, France continues its support for the Lebanese people, especially in the health, education and food security sectors,” stressing that Paris “will continue, in cooperation with its partners, to stand by Lebanon.”
