Formula 1 | BBC: F1’s giant transfer confirmed – a huge sum of money settled

Adrian Newey’s account has a huge sum of money.

F1 series design guru Adrian Newey the rumored transfer has been confirmed, says BBC.

Newey will move from Red Bull to Aston Martin’s stall. According to the BBC, Newey’s contract is for five years and enables the guru to earn an annual income of no less than 30 million pounds, or about 35.5 million euros. This amount includes bonuses and extras.

Aston Martin’s offer was so strong that Ferrari, which also wanted to hire Newey, withdrew from the bidding competition.

The Aston Martin F1 team is owned by a 65-year-old Canadian tycoon Lawrence Stroll. The team is currently fifth in the World Championship points, far behind the top four (Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes).

Newey is scheduled to step aside from Red Bull at the beginning of next year.

He has previously successfully designed F1 cars for the Williams and McLaren teams as well.
