The Alfa Romeo stable is still driving in the protective winter tests in Barcelona.
Formula the first day of the number one winter test is underway on Barcelona’s F1 track. The three-day tests are run “behind closed doors,” meaning there are no live TV broadcasts.
Each day is run in two groups: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Alfa Romeo stable Valtteri Bottas drive this Wednesday afternoon in a group, but the surprising coloring of Bottas’ car was reported as early as the morning when the test driver Robert Kubica went to the track in the morning test group.
Kubica’s helmet was also dyed for a special “terrain”.
“How do those four floating wheels move on their own,” the official Formula 1 Twitter account asked.
Alfa Romeo’s F1 team replied, “Magic.”
However, this is only for coloring during the test days. Alfa Romeo will officially announce its 2022 F1 car next Sunday.
