Premier League club Captain of Arsenal Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was sidelined for Saturday’s home game against Southampton for disciplinary reasons. The team captain Aubameyang was not in the line-up at all, and the French striker Alexandre Lacazette got the captain’s tape.
According to media reports, Aubameyang’s punishment was due to not having come to Friday’s rehearsals.
“Unfortunately, he is absent for breaking the rules. We’ve been very consistent, and that’s why he’s not involved today, ”said Arsenal’s head coach Mikel Arteta in an interview posted on Twitter before the match.
Arteta was asked if the captain was on the sidelines for longer.
