Juarez City.- The Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso announced its schedule for the delivery of free food supplies for residents of that city for the third quarter of the year.
The calendar marks August 13, September 10, and October 8, with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the diplomatic headquarters in the city of El Paso.
The delivery of food parcels is part of the Ventanilla de Salud program, a free program designed to help identify the health services that families in the United States require.
Thanks to the collaboration of Ventanilla de Salud with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, food parcels are distributed in the parking lot of the Consulate on the second Tuesday of each month. The distribution is while supplies last and the food parcels can be picked up on foot or by driving. To register for the program, it is mandatory to have a Texas address, explains the call for applications launched yesterday by the Mexican Consulate in El Paso.
This program also extends to other branches of care for the population, which are completely free of charge.
For example, every first Tuesday of each month the Ventanilla de Salud holds its Clinic Day at the Consulate facilities. During this activity, most of the allies in the health field perform free glucose and cholesterol tests, weight measurement, blood pressure, muscle mass, information on family planning, human papillomavirus, emotional health, autism, vaccines, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, healthy cooking, eye exams and diabetes.
Likewise, Health Tuesday is held on the third and fourth Tuesday of the month. This activity is carried out at the Consulate facilities with a smaller number of partner agencies. Various tests are carried out and information tables are set up.
Binational Health Week (BHW) takes place in October and aims to improve the health and well-being of the Mexican population through a series of health forums and workshops.
