The Colombian delegation ended its participation in the Ibero-American Athletics Championship in Cuiabá, Brazil, with a haul of three gold medals, six silver and eight bronze, a competition in which the athletes stood out Flor Denis Ruiz and Martha Valeria Araújo.
Ruiz, current world runner-up, achieved an excellent mark of 66.70 meters, with which she managed to lower her national and South American record and takes her to be the first in the world ranking of the event.
