In the midst of the devastation caused by the DANA, Thousands of people have mobilized in recent days to help victims that this catastrophe has left, especially in the Valencian Community. Likewise, many content creators have also shown their more supportive side, taking advantage of their visibility on social networks.
However, there are those who have been the subject of criticism and reproaches instead of applause for their behavior on social networks. Thus, while the influencer Ana Moya stood in the spotlight for complaining about the damage caused by DANA in their garden, others, like the case of The Grefg, do so after announcing a charity live on the Kick platform.
And this solidarity initiative to raise funds to help those affected by DANA has generated very different reactions among Internet users, because while some have shown their support publicly, others, on the other hand, maintain that it is a strategy of the streamer for obtain economic return to the situation.
“Today they approved my idea for a charity live show to help those affected by DANA. I’m sorry for not doing it sooner but I was preparing something really significant,” Grefg announced in his X profile, in which he later revealed that the eight-hour event would take place this Sunday on Kick because “it is a platform where almost the full value of the subscription”.
In the last few hours, multitudes of people have attacked him for not donating directly part of their profits to the cause. “If you want to contribute money, do it directly to the associations that are on the ground. If this parasite acts as an intermediary and makes the donation, he can deduct it later, that is, he will indirectly keep part of it. Theirs is not solidarity, it is advertising”, comments a user.
Other Internet users, however, have pointed out the content creator for paying taxes in Andorra, where the tax burden is lower, instead of in Spain. “No one who evades taxes can teach solidarity lessons,” concludes another user through X.
However, one of the most widespread attacks in X has come from journalist Ismael Ledesma, who claims that streamer that “it would help and be more honest” to pay taxes in Spain, to which Grefg responded in an ironic tone, saying: “Looking at what I’ve seen, I don’t think so.”
This replica, which already has more than 2.4 million views, has caused a great stir in this same social network, between praise and harsh criticism towards his opinion about the management of public administrations in the DANA of Valencia.
