Hansi Flick, coach of the German national team, praised the Croatian former coach of Bayern Munich, Niko Kovac, who recently returned to training in the German League “Bundesliga” through Wolfsburg.
Flick said: “Wolfsburg have signed an excellent coach and great players. I congratulate the founders of this club.
Flick worked as an assistant to Kovac in training Bayern during 2019, before taking charge of his successor in November of the same year after the dismissal of Kovac, who returned a few weeks ago to work in the Bundesliga by taking charge of Wolfsburg.
In comments published by the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, Flick said: “We had, and still are, a respectful communication characterized by mutual appreciation. This coach can be counted on. If he promises something, he delivers on it.
He pointed out: Kovac is distinguished by hard work and devotes himself to improving the physical fitness of his team players. We saw this in Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Today, Friday, the Wolfsburg team traveled to Austria, to organize a training camp for nine days. Flick is scheduled to visit the team camp next Monday.
Lukas Nemica, the team’s striker, has a good chance to participate with the German national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Flick also called Riddle Baku and Maximilian Arnold, players of the team, to the list of the German national team in previous engagements.
