The Crow He is one of the cult comic characters most loved by everyone who knows this work. During the 90s, there was an attempt to bring this property to the big screen, but the death of its star on the set prevented this from being the expected success. Now, a cinematic reboot will be available this yearand today the first trailer for this long-awaited film was shared.
In the story, Eric Draven and his fiancée, Shelly, are attacked and murdered by a gang of thugs. Fortunately, the supernatural spirit of The Crow resurrects Eric as he stalks and kills his attackers one by one. This concept is maintained in the new film, and shows us the brutality of these events.
This new adaptation stars Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs as Eric and Shelly, respectively. Likewise, we can see Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila and Jordan Bolger. The film is directed by Rupert Evans, as well as a script by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider. This is what Sam Pressman, producer of this film, commented on the matter:
“The Crow has been a very central and integral part of our company and I am very proud of the progress and work that has been done. I think the movie will just blow people away. “Our partners want to approach it in a very 360 way, whether it's video games, an animated series or a universe, but it has this cosmic legacy that can expand beyond a singular story.”
At the moment there is no information about sequels, video games or series, and it is very likely that the producers are waiting to see the critical and commercial reaction to this film before making any decisions.
