The day has arrived. After several months of waiting, and after knowing about the existence of this game for a couple of years, Ubisoft has finally given the first official video look at Assassin’s Creed: Shadowsthe delivery to take place in feudal Japan.
Although leaks had already shown us the two protagonists that this installment will have, one of these being a black samurai, it was not until a few moments ago that the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows it came to light, that the main characters were confirmed for this installment.
The trailer shows us the two protagonists in sections that have defined the series. The samurai seems to have a section that is more similar to the RPG gameplay that we have seen in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, while the ninja is focused on stealth. This is the official description of the game:
“Experience an epic historical action-adventure story set in feudal Japan! Become a deadly shinobi assassin and a powerful legendary samurai as you explore a beautiful open world in a time of chaos. Seamlessly switch between two unlikely allies as you discover their common destiny. Master complementary play styles, create your shinobi league, customize your hideout, and usher in a new era for Japan.”
This is one of the big games that Ubisoft plans to release in the second half of the year, the other being Star Wars: Outlaws. Best of all, waiting to play Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is about to end, since this installment will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 15, 2024. On related topics, this is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed: Hexe. Similarly, Assassin’s Creed: Jade It is delayed until 2025.

After what was Mirage and ValhallaI hope that shadows offers us a combination of the modern and classic style of the series. However, we all know that Ubisoft has to demonstrate its dominance over this genre and, at the very least, be on par with what has been seen in titles like Rise of the Ronin and Ghost of Tsushima.
