Four people, including a minor under 14 years of age, have been taken to hospital after being affected by smoke inhalation in fire recorded this Thursday in an apartment in Jaén capital: the house has been burned and a dog has died.
According to the Emergency Coordination Center (Cecem) 112 Andalusia, several witnesses alerted minutes after 1:00 a.m. about a fire in a fifth floor of a property located on Almodóvar Street.
Immediately afterwards, the Fire Department, Local and National Police, and Health Emergency Center were immediately activated. According to the operation deployed at the scene, four people have had to be treated and evacuated due to smoke inhalation: a 44-year-old woman, two men aged 21 and 22 and a minor aged 14.
The health workers have transferred the four affected people to the Neurotraumatological Hospital and the Medical-Surgical Hospital in the capital. The neighbors of the building were evicted preventively during the intervention of emergency personnel.
