The rise in the cost of labor in construction prevented a more significant slowdown in inflation in the sector in the General Price Index – Internal Availability (IGP-DI) for January, reported Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) this Tuesday, 6.
The National Construction Cost Index (INCC-DI) went from an increase of 0.31% in December to an increase of 0.27% in January.
The index relating to Materials, Equipment and Services went from an increase of 0.40% in December to an increase of 0.12% in January. The cost of Materials and Equipment went from an increase of 0.43% in December to an increase of 0.07% in January, while Services went from an increase of 0.11% to an increase of 0.62%.
The index that represents the cost of Labor went from an increase of 0.18% in December to an increase of 0.48% in January.
