Qualified cities
The number of municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul affected by heavy rains now exceeds 400.
It is worth noting that to be eligible to withdraw the FGTS, it is necessary for the municipality in a state of public calamity or emergency situation, duly recognized by Federal Government Ordinance, to present to Caixa a declaration of the areas affected by the disaster. Only after release will the population be able to withdraw the FGTS.
In a statement released to the press, Caixa states that experts will be sent to the region to provide technical support to city halls and assist them in measures that can help the population.
For the FGTS Calamity Withdrawal, the bank is assisting city halls so that the process of releasing amounts to workers can begin.
Currently, only 21 municipalities in the state have active payments for Saque Calamidade. See the Calamity Loot list and rules here.
