Five days after the incident, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) stopped at Jose Enrique “N”the alleged assailant of the writer John Villoro and the journalist Javier Risco.
Through a statement, the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office highlighted that the suspect was apprehended in the Lomas de San Lorenzo neighborhood, mayor’s office Iztapalapafor crimes against health and carrying a firearm, resulting in the investigation of the detainee by the Investigative Police (POI) pointed him out as the probable person responsible for the assault on the communicators.
After that, the FGJCDMX pointed out, they asked a control judge for the arrest warrant against José Enrique for the crime of assault with violence, for which, after being completed, the suspect was admitted to the South Men’s Preventive Prisonwhere it will be presented before the judge.
And it is that on February 17 Villoro and Risco were robbed while driving in the car of the former on University Avenue and Panzacola, in the Chimalistac neighborhood, mayor’s office Alvaro Obregon.
While from that day the FGJCDMX would have started the investigation folder that led to the arrest of the 25-year-old in a home in the Iztapalapa mayor’s office.

On the other hand, the FGJCDMX indicated that it is already investigating a complaint for injuries to a girl from the Secondary School No. 79 “Republic of Chile” during the incident in which a minor, also 12 years old, accidentally shot himself inside the school while showing off his father’s gun.
Without giving more details, the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office highlighted that the minor would have been injured by the splinters of the bullet that injured the hand of the boy who was carrying the gun inside the school in the neighborhood MexicaltzingoIztapalapa mayor’s office.
