Last week it finally arrived Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to our hands. While it seems like everyone is enjoying their time with Cloud and company, there is one element that was not to the public's liking. Being a game for the PS5, this title has two visual modes, one focused on giving priority to graphics, and another dedicated to the frame rate. The latter, unfortunately, It has a couple of visual problems, something that has not been well received. Fortunately, Square Enix is already working on a patch to fix this.
Through an interview with One More Game, Naoki Hamaguchi, director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirthconfirmed that They are already working on a patch focused on improving the visual experience in performance mode, which focuses on offering stable gameplay at 60fps. This is what he said about it:
“We have received a lot of feedback on whether or not the graphics in performance mode will improve. We listened, and we're currently working on a patch to improve that. I don't think the release date is too far from now.
We've heard from players that in certain situations, facial lighting makes some characters' shadows look very scary. “That's a part of the patch we're working on.”
Unfortunately, Hamaguchi does not provide information related to the release date for this update. However, It is very likely that this patch will be available sometime in March. Let us remember that this problem was not revealed on February 29, but rather this has been a complaint from players that has been discussed since the arrival of the demo of this title at the beginning of last month.
Thus, It is very likely that Square Enix has already been working on improving this section for some time.. Fortunately, beyond this problem, there are no substantial complaints about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and everyone is enjoying this adventure. Editor's Note:
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth it's a great game. I have been enjoying this installment in visual mode, which runs at 30fps, and it is a great experience. I haven't tried switching to 60fps, mainly because I knew about the issues here, but once the patch is available I'll give this option a try.
