Victories for Tibor Valint (Ferrari Budapest – Rossocorsa) in the Coppa Shell and Andreas König (Gohm Motorsport – Haupt Racing Team) in the Coppa Shell Am, while Fabrizio Fontana (Formula Racing) is first among the drivers in the class dedicated to the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo.
Pirelli Trophy
Franz Engstler, champion of the 2022 Coppa Shell and 2023 Trofeo Pirelli Am, makes his debut in the main series of the Ferrari Challenge with a success, at the end of an exciting race, which ended under the Safety Car regime due to a contact in the middle of the group, without consequences for the riders, three minutes from the end.
Behind him is Bence Valint (Ferrari Budapest – Rossocorsa), while third is Timo Glock (Autohaus Ulrich), who passed the checkered flag first, but was penalized 5 seconds for overtaking which he ended by exceeding the track limits at the start. The former Formula 1 driver, making his debut in the Ferrari Challenge, set the best time in qualifying in 1’47”199 and in the race in 1’49”618.
Tight challenge in the Trofeo Pirelli Am, with Claus Zibrandtsen getting the better of the poleman of the day, Marco Zanasi (CDP – Pinetti Motorsport). The Danish driver also gets the additional point for the best race time in the class in 1’50”997. Third step of the podium for Hendrik Viol (Scuderia Praha Racing).

Shell Cup
Victory for Tibor Valint, returning to the Ferrari Challenge after 14 years of absence, thanks to an excellent start at the start which allowed him to overtake the fastest in qualifying Alexander Nussbaumer (Gohm Motorsport – Haupt Racing Team).
Valint, also author of the best lap time of 1’50”482, maintains the lead of the race with authority, preceding Henri Hassid (Kessel Racing) and John Dhillon (Graypaul Nottingham) at the finish line.
In the Coppa Shell Am, Andreas König recovered from third position on the grid and won, with a best time of 1’53”040, ahead of poleman Zois Skrimpias (Ineco – Reparto Corse RAM) and Paolo Scudieri (Sa.Mo.Car).

In the class dedicated to the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, dominated by Fabrizio Fontana (Formula Racing), in his absolute debut in the championship, who transformed pole position into victory, ahead of the two Swedes Christian Kinch (Gohm Motorsport – Herter Racing) and Tommy Lindroth ( Gohm Motorsport – Baron Racing Team).

Sunday 5 May, second day of racing on the Mugello circuit. We start at 9.00 with the Coppa Shell and 488 qualifying sessions, to continue with those of Trofeo Pirelli and Trofeo Pirelli Am (10.00) and those of Coppa Shell Am (11.00). The races will start, with the same sequence, at 2.00 pm, 3.10 pm and 4.20 pm.
