Fernando Uribe ended his professional career in December. There were 21 years as a professional wearing the shirts of Atlético Huila, Deportivo Pereira, Once Caldas, Atlético Nacional, Junior and Millonarios.
He was also active abroad, in clubs such as Chievo Verona, Toluca, Flamengo, Santos. In the Colombian League he scored 104 goals and was champion with Nacional and Millos, his last club.
Uribe stayed living in Bogotá and now drives around with the rubber of old and classic cars. Last year, when he was still part of the Millonarios squad, he arrived for training aboard a Volkswagen Beetle.

Now, Uribe ups the ante and will participate with that car in one of the most traditional events in Colombian motorsport, the Automercol Motor Clásico, in which nearly 400 vehicles manufactured before 1989 will participate.
Uribe's car, a 1967 blue VW, was baptized with a name closely linked to his football past: 'Millos David'. “It is a very purist car, as they call it in the media. “I am just learning about the subject, learning about the world of classic cars and Volkswagen,” said the former attacker.
“Football was part of my entire life and there were other things that I am going to do. “I am enjoying the time I have and also my family with all this,” she added.
The test will take place this Saturday at the Tocancipá Autodrome and entry costs 50 thousand pesos, with the possibility of accessing the pits to see the participating vehicles.
“It will be a day where the oldest cars will be exhibited and they will tour the racetrack as a family. In addition, there will be music, restaurants and fun for the little ones,” said Robert Kunzel, manager of the Los Tortugas club, organizer of the contest.
