Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, confirmed that the UAE government is keen to invest in the rapid technological development globally, employ it in the service of government work, and develop the work system with all its components, in a way that raises the level of service provision to customers, and reflects positively on the work environment, to remain Attractive and leading globally.
This came during the opening of the first forum of the Youth Council of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources in the year 2024, which was held in the Emirates Towers in Dubai, and discussed the perceptions and features of the future work environment, based on artificial intelligence, raising the level of government employees’ readiness for the future, and enhancing levels of flexibility, efficiency, productivity and giving.
Laila Al Suwaidi said that the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources is adopting a new approach and thought based on employing artificial intelligence to serve its strategic objectives, develop its work, automate processes and procedures, and address them from the user’s perspective, to become fewer, faster, easier, and more integrated with other entities. She stressed the importance of enhancing innovation in government work, and developing new work methods that serve the human resources system in the federal government and benefit from the latest technical solutions based on artificial intelligence.
She praised the role of youth in providing exceptional and distinctive initiatives, developing tools and methods of work in the federal government, and creating new ones, with their bright ideas, broad knowledge, and keeping pace with global developments, in the world of technical transformation based on artificial intelligence. She said: We will work to activate the role of youth more, and highlight their role on a large scale, and we want them to lead the work teams and play more effective roles in representing the UAE in general, and the Authority in particular, and we want the work approach to be based more on participatory action among all concerned.
The forum was attended by His Excellency Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, Ammar Al-Muaini, Director of Creative Communications at the Government Development and Future Office, Zayed Al-Qahtani, Director of the Performance Evaluation and Follow-up System Department, and a number of the Authority’s youth.
