Fans want Shenmue 4 and to spread this message they opted for a striking solution, renting a gigantic sign in Times Square, New York, on which to broadcast a fifteen-second commercial.
The short video includes a rundown of the main characters of the series created by Yu Suzuki, accompanied by references from the campaign #letsgetshenmue4 and gives an invitation to join this initiative every 4th of the month.
A first, important result has already been obtained from the Shenmue Dojo, which promoted this operation, if we consider that all the major video game sites are talking about their idea, as are the social networks.
The story did not end
We know that Shenmue 4 is still in the planning phase, but Ys Net needs a development partner and therefore funds that will allow the team founded by Yu Suzuki to be able actually carry out the project.
Clearly fans of the saga want that Ryo’s story finds a conclusiongiven that Shenmue 3 did not fulfill this task and actually introduced further narrative elements to deal with.
Let’s imagine that a possible solution to the problem could be represented by a crowdfunding campaign which at least allows Ys Net to lay the foundations for the new chapter, so as to also make the search for a partner easier.
