“If that violence had been replicated inside the club, it would have been catastrophic,” the legislator remarked to the newspaper La Gaceta de Tucumán. The crime “occurred when people were arriving at the stadium” and was perpetrated “outside the security ring” deployed as part of the police operation, said the commissioner in charge, John Ibanez.
According to the first testimonies, the victim and her aggressor had had an argument that ended with the shooting attack in the context of a confrontation between the supporters of San Martín.
On the same day there were also incidents in Buenos Aires near the stadium New Chicagowhen violent fans wanted to enter the locker room after the 3-2 defeat against Almagro, in another game of the lower divisions.
The police prevented the entrance, but the fans undertook it with stones against the troops in disturbances that ended with the destruction of shops and cars around the stadium. At least 15 people were arrested and 13 police officers were reported injured.

This was lived in La Ciudadela a few moments after the murder of a fan of San Martín. From Belgrano they understand that the game will be played the same. Not to believe…again a death due to a fight between fans. pic.twitter.com/Dy2n6VrTgd
