In the midst of the tense and difficult moment that Ukraine is going through, President Volodymyr Zelensky assured that anyone between the ages of 15 and 60 could offer to fight and defend the country. Anastasia Lenna, 24, shared through her social networks that she will unite to fight against the Russians and fight “for the peace and freedom of his nation” and uploaded photos posing in army clothing, protective glasses, military boots, resistant gloves and carrying a weapon.
As well, sergie Stakhovsky, 36, who became world number 31said that as soon as his wife and son are safe in Hungary, he will respond to the army’s call.
“Of course I will fight, it’s the only reason I’m trying to come back,” he told Sky News.

What’s more, Vasyl Lomachenko decided to pause his boxing career to join the army and fight the warWell, this Ukrainian athlete joined the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky Territorial Defense Battalion in southwestern Ukraine, a territory that is close to the borders with Romania and Moldova, on the Black Sea coast.
Another athlete who also joined was the famous former boxer who became Mayor of Kyiv since 2015, Vitali Klitschko and has taken a prominent role in his country’s fight against the Russian invasion.
