The well-known Japanese newspaper Famitsu has published a new weekly issue and through this we can discover the most recent reviews. In this round there are three games voted by the magazine:
- Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator (PS5, PS4, Switch) – 7/8/7/7 [29/40]
- Stellar Blade (PS5) – 9/9/8/9 [35/40]
- Utakata no Uchronia (Switch) – 8/8/8/8 [32/40]
Let’s remember that Famitsu offers a four review structure made by four different people. Each reviewer assigns a grade out of tenths and the total score adds up to a maximum of 40 points: obviously the perfect grade is not a common thing, but it is less rare than one might think; this year for example we have already had a 40/40.

The star of the week (sorry for the joke) of the Famitsu reviews is obviously Stellar Blade. The Shift Up game, a PS5 exclusive, scored a solid 35 out of 40, with three nines and just one eight. Clearly the magazine’s reviewers appreciated the Korean action game. Stellar Blade caused a sensation in the months before its release for its protagonist – extremely attractive and ready to show off her curves with various skimpy costumes – but in the end it also proved to be a more than valid action game, collecting various positive votes.
Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator it’s exactly what it sounds like, a single-player gardening simulator in which we have to plant seeds, water, grow plants and flowers and eradicate weeds to ensure a beautiful garden. It is a game that aims to offer a relaxing adventure and includes two modes, a story and a creative one to take care of our green space in total freedom. Famitsu gave it a 29 out of 40, with average-high ratings.
In the end, Utakata no Uchronia is a romantic-themed Japanese visual novel in which we take on the role of a girl who meets a young man who has lost his memories and is involved in an accident in the flying city that is the backdrop to the events. It was highly rated by Famitsu with four 8s. The game is not available in the West.
