Tim Cainthe original author of the video game series of Falloutwhen it was still an isometric role-playing game, declared in a video published on his YouTube channel that he was satisfied with the TV series just released by Prime Video, of which he was invited to see the premiere on April 9th by none other than Todd Howard of Bethesda.
More precisely, Cain appreciated the first two episodes, in particular from the point of view of irony and how the settings were reconstructed. He also talked about it with Brian Fargopresent at the event, who remembered some events of the past differently.
Cain then got to talk to one of the showrunners, Graham Wagner, who said he was a fan of Fallout, then spoke to director Jonathan Nola and Aon Motton, the actor who plays Maximus.

The thing he liked the most was how the TV series managed to capture him spirit of video gameseven in the most minute details, so much so that I missed some dialogue to admire them.
Cain took advantage of the opportunity to talk about a topic that is dear to him: fan reactions, often excessive. In particular, he never liked the rivalry that was created between the chapters developed by Interplay and Obsidian (Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas) and the 3D ones developed by Bethesda (Fallout 3, 4 and 76). He therefore spoke very highly of Todd Howardthe creative director of Bethesda, stating that some fan statements do not make sense.
Still talking about the reactions of gamers, Cain touched on the topic of the aforementioned Brian Fargo. The two didn't break up very well at the time of Fallout 2, but now their relationship is amicable. However, the emergence of that story, which Cain told on video as an anecdote, ended up becoming a problem for Fargo, which received several insults and threats. According to Cain: “If we've gotten over it, you can get over it, too,” before adding, “You guys can be really destructive, which is weird, because you're being destructive to people who are trying to do things.”
