With the renewed passion for Fallout thanks to the excellent TV series on Amazon Prime Video, it is a shame that there is no new chapter of the video game series on the horizon, but Bethesda has reiterated that theexit Of Fallout 5 it still seems very faralso briefly explaining the reason of the long wait.
Specifically, it was Emil Pagliarulostudio design director at Bethesda, to address the topic with posts on new Fallout there are other projects to complete.
The thing was already known, but somehow the general enthusiasm emerged from the TV series had raised hopes that Bethesda could somehow force the time for a return of Fallout, so much so as to also see possible news arriving in a disturbing clue hidden in the series, but apparently it will take years before we see Fallout 5.
There are other projects to pursue before Fallout 5
“At the end of the day, everything always depends on the most important resource: the people” explained Pagliarulo. “Like any other team, we have talented people who need time to create important things, so we can't do everything together at the same time.”
Bethesda's design director also explained that Starfield took a long time, even more than what usually happens with Bethesda games, also due to the evolution applied to theproprietary engine on which it is based, as well as the fact that part of the team continued to actively work on Fallout 76.
With a lot of technical work to do upstream, the development times took much longer than normal, resulting in the long wait that characterized Starfield, on which development is not yet finished, given that other expansions and additionsstarting with Shattered Space expected this year.
Then it will be the turn of The Elder Scrolls 6which is the next game in line according to Bethesda's long-term planning and only later will we talk about Fallout 5, so regardless of the success of the TV series a relaunch of the video game series is still expected for a long time.
In the meantime, however, players seem to have flocked to previous chapters, given the new sales and the amount of users recently recorded on Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and even Fallout 3.
