EL TIEMPO learned details of the meeting, which lasted more than three hours at the team’s offices, in the north of Bogotá, in a conversation that began in the morning and lasted until 1:30 in the afternoon.
This tax became permanent in the tax reform approved by the Petro government in 2022. It should be remembered that, according to the Diane, those who have liquid assets declarable to the Colombian Government equal to or greater than 3,388 million pesos must present this declaration. The fee varies between 0.5 and 1.5 percent of the value of the estate.
According to Portafolio, as provided by this law, for the years 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 the wealth tax rate will be 1.5%. Starting in 2027, this rate will be reduced to 1% for assets whose value exceeds 122,000 UVT.
In the case of a player like Falcao, his salary and the additional income he has from his numerous commercial contracts would significantly increase his assets.
The Millionaires hypothesis with Falcao
“They told Falcao that they would need him at the end of June, exactly June 27, but the attacker would have mentioned that he could from July 3 so that there would be no problems with the 180 days of the wealth tax,” the report says.
Well, from the blue team they are working on this eventual solution to the obstacle. A club source told EL TIEMPO about this possibility. “A person who spends more than 180 days in Colombia becomes a tax resident and would have to pay the taxes that are not paid in the place where they file their income tax returns, such as the wealth tax that exists only in Colombia.”
“The contract has nothing to do with it, but rather entering the country and staying there for 180 days in a period of one year,” he clarifies.

“Lore has told me that she is willing to go where I see fit, because football is not going to last a lifetime, we are aware of that and we have to make the most of the remaining seasons,” Falcao said on Tuesday, at an event commercial.
In fact, sources close to the player’s environment have unofficially told EL TIEMPO that the family issue will not be a problem for Tigre’s arrival to the ambassador team.
